Introduction. Postpartum hysterectomy means hysterectomy at least 6 weeks after delivery or cesarean section. It is usually performed in life-threatening situations. Incidence of postpartum hysterectomy varies from 0.02% to 0.3% of total number of deliveries. Objective. The aim of this study was to show and compare the incidence of postpartum hysterectomy after the cesarean section at the Institute of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Clinical Center of Serbia. We compared two five-year periods: the first period 1987-1982 and the second 2000-2004. Method. The retrospective study analyzed all patients treated at the Institute of Gynecology and Obstetrics who had had hysterectomy until six weeks after vaginal delivery or cesarean section. On the occasion of the journal's anniversary, the author discusses three issues in the field of scientific policy in Serbia: the journal's language and script, the issue of the publisher, and the journal's place and role in the scientific community. The author concludes that the mass transition of scientific journals in Serbia to English, with the abolition of Serbian versions of texts (the tradition pursued by the Sociološki pregled / Sociological Review), leads not only to stopping the development of the domestic scientific terminology, but also to the stagnation and long-term disappearance of local (national) scientific communities. Scientific communities of individual countries or languages, particularly in the humanities and social sciences, are essential for scientific research of local (national) societies, their economic, social and cultural problems and specifics. Their gradual winding down can also be considered a form of cultural neocolonialism.

Amikor 2021-ben a Főváros Önkormányzata szakmai és civil szereplők bevonásával pályázatot hirdetett a háborúban megerőszakolt nők emlékművének megtervezésére és majdani megvalósítására, még nem tudhattuk, hogy ez ma Európában mennyire aktuális lesz. A pályázat egy komplex, az Elhallgatva című projektbe ágyazódik, melynek célja – egy emlékhely megalkotásán és a pályázat alapos előkészítésén keresztül – az emlékezetpolitikai konszenzus és a nők elleni háborús erőszak társadalmi megítélésének alakítása volt. Introduction Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women, the second leading cause of cancer death, and the third most common cancer overall, throughout the world. In 1996, 910.000 new cases were diagnosed worldwide (about 9% of all new cases). Over 50% of breast cancer incidence occurred in the developed world. The aims of this study were to study breast cancer incidence during 1991-2000 in the region of Branicevo and to analyze differences in incidence rate for breast cancer in two periods of time 1991-1991 and 1996-2000. Material and methods This was a descriptive study. Routine national incidence data were used from the Republic Statistical Office. The analysis was restricted to the region of Branicevo. Viktor Vida jedno je od najznačajnijih imena izvandomovinske (iseljeničke/emigrantske) književnosti. Percipiran je kao pjesnik "izoliranosti i iskorijenjenosti", najizrazitiji "Mediteranac u mladoj hrvatskoj lirici", "discipulus Matoševih duhovnih sljedbenika" te jedan od velikih pjesnika nove hrvatske poezije. U ovom svom djelu Kraljević prezentira na prvi pogled iznenađujuću činjenicu da je vinogradarstvo, posebice vinarstvo, na hercegovačkim, baš kao i na bosanskim prostorima bilo dobro razvijeno kroz cijelo vrijeme osmanlijske okupacije. S obzirom na činjenicu da je najveći dio pučanstva na tim prostorima bilo domicilnog (tj. katoličkog) podrijetla, to i nije za čuđenje. Nije slučajno da je baš to islamizirano pučanstvo, zbog običaja kojih se tvrdokorno držalo, od oficijelnih osmanlijskih struktura prozvano poturicama, tj. onima koji su djelomice (gdjekad samo formalno) prihvatili islam. (Kod Albanaca takvo se pučanstvo nazivalo ljaramanima). U tom kontekstu do danas je, suprotno svim regulama kako islama tako i šerijata, to pučanstvo zadržalo običaj ne samo konzumiranja vina - što je očituje i u narodnoj pjesmi ("Vino piju age sarajlije, na Ilidži pokraj Sarajeva") nego i proizvodnje alkoholnih pića, posebice u Bosni. Ipak, tijekom stoljeća vinogradarstvo, napose vinarstvo, zapalo je ipak u drugi plan. O vinogradarstvu, kao što i autor na stranicama ovog svog djela navodi, najbolje svjedoče toponimi - najčešće u formi “vinogradi”.

Autor analizira zapis nepoznatog dubrovačkog pomorca iz 19. stoljeća o životu na jedrenjacima. Analizirani tekst predstavljen je kao zanimljiv etnografski, dijalektološki i književni zapis autentičnog usmenog izričaja. Provedena lingvostilistička analiza otkriva stilističko bogatstvo naracije koja pripada oralno-auralnoj kulturi. Autor osobito naglašava stilističku vrijednost koja je ostvarena vjernim prijenosom strukture usmenog izraza u medij pisane riječi. Osim lingvostilističke analize teksta, autor je protumačio arhaične izraze i priložio tumač manje poznatih riječi koji omogućuje razumijevanje ovog jezičnog dokumenta dubrovačkoga govora 19. stoljeća.The author interprets the text that was registered by the end of the 19th century by an anonymous seafarer from Dubrovnik. Pri interpretaciji smo se najprej lotili teoretičnih modelov hermenevtike (hermenevtični cikel), semantike (trikotnik) in informacijskih znanosti ter modela pedagogike interpretacije dediščine. Za oblikovanje ustreznejšega modela interpretacije dediščine, ki ustreza zahtevam polnega sodelovanja javnosti, smo definirali ključne pojme (poleg same interpretacije dediščine): spomin, znanje in vrednote. Argumente za takšno izbiro smo razložili s treh vidikov: semantičnega (opredeljuje njihov trenutni pomen in etimologijo izrazov), nevroznanstvenega in dediščinskega (v Sloveniji in nekaterih drugih državah uporabljamo izraz heritologija – ki označuje interdisciplinarno področje dediščinskih študij). Prispevek se zaključi z orisom modela interpretacije dediščine, grafično predstavljenega v dveh diagramih: strukturnem v obliki Vennovega 3-krožnega diagrama s pripadajočo matriko in procesnim diagramom po vzorcu prilagodljivega upravljanja. Razprava predstavlja kritična vprašanja modela in opozarja na nekatere prednosti njegove praktične implementacije.

The subject of this paper is the influence of cinema on the creation of the past different from that provided by written history. The goal is to show how films, especially documentaries and war spectacles, have a role to play in creating a desirable history. Revisionism on film is not based on new sources or new knowledge that has been obtained in a scientifically based way, but interpretations that are contrary to established historical facts are loaded with partial and unscientific methods. Using the method of content analysis, we will present the topic through, two Kosovo, one Croatian and one French film, of different genres, created in the second decade of the 21st century.

Nach dem Zusammenbruch der kommunistischen Ordnung in den ostund südosteuropäischen Staaten ist die Neuorganisation der Eigentumsverhältnisse eine der zentralen Aufgaben der Regierungen. V magistrskem delu se osredotočam na nekdanji 41. območni štab TO (ObmŠTO) Cerknica, ki je zajemal področje današnjih občin Bloke, Cerknica, Pivka, Postojna in Ilirska Bistrica. Na začetku sledim razvoju oboroženih sil v SFRJ, torej osrednji bojni sili JLA ter nastanku TO SRS leta 1968. Na Notranjskem se, leta 1972, ustanovi Conski štab za Primorsko s sedežem v Postojni. Republiški Zakon o splošni ljudski obrambi in Zakon o družbeni samozaščiti, varnosti in notranjih zadevah, sprejeta leta 1976, sta prinesla veliko sprememb. Med drugim se na Notranjskem formira Pokrajinski štab za Notranjsko, nastanejo občinski štabi TO za Cerknico, Postojno in Ilirsko Bistrico. This paper will interpret Matko Peić’s travelogue Skitnje (eng. Wanderings), 1967, and Janko Matko’s novel Dva života jedne žene (eng. Two lives of one woman), 1971, in the context of spatial and cultural turn. Special attention will be given to the parts of the texts in which the authors show the city of Vukovar and the ways of representation of Vukovar space will be compared. The mentioned texts belong to different genres and the paper will articulate the spatial attributes that are important for narrative concepts achieved in them. In both texts, travelling/moving/mobility is the main motivation for investigating the relationship between space and its cultural and identity baselines. We will investigate how spatial constructs are used to create dominant images about oneself and about others. Matko Peić in Skitnje puts Vukovar into the context of travelling the Danube, and examines it through natural and cultural landscape. Cultural constructs are determined by the Danube, cosmopolitan character and openness. Vukovar space expands in both space and time. The travelogue subject is anti-modern, it points its nostalgic eye toward a textual reconstruction of the old Vukovar. The space appears as a complex construct of prehistoric layers detected at the nearby Vučedol and the cultural layer contained in names, toponyms and patriotic traditions. For Janko Matko, Vukovar space is populated by the extremely hardworking and humble people, and the focal point of identity constructs is the Franciscan monastery. The texts will be analysed in the context of Croatian literary tradition, both travel and popular literature, and we will compare how images of oneself and of others are created in the analysed texts.

The authors of the paper have been studing the electoral engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the formal rules define the behavior of parties, politicians and citizens. In the first part of the hypothesis is tested whether the institutional design of Bosnia and Herzegovina contributes to the strengthening of democracy and its consolidation. We discuss the key dilemmas and challenges of the Constitution of BiH, as well as the electoral system where we’ve provided concrete examples of electoral engineering. In the second part of the paper the authors state the causes and consequences of electoral engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where attention is given to the institutional design. The aim is to point out the necessary reforms of the electoral system, which is expected to reduce ethnic conflicts, the creation of democratic accountability, solving social problems, strengthening the will and confidence of voters, as well as increasing women’s quota in institutions. This article studies the relations between Yugoslavia and the Chilean
socialists between the 1950s and 1960s. While Yugoslavia needed new
international allies after breaking ties with the Soviet Union, the Chilean
socialists were searching for new international referents to consolidate
their internal strategic lines. The ideological affinity strengthened and increased the level of political relations between agents from both countries,including official trips and publications. However, in the 1960s, these ties began to be overshadowed by socialist Cuba, critical of the rather moderateYugoslav approach to non-alignment and foreign policy. The ethanolic extracts of three Equisetum species (E. pratense Ehrh., E. sylvaticum L. and E. telmateia Ehrh.) were used to reduce silver ions to silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The synthesized AgNPs were characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) measurements. FTIR data revealed the functional groups of biomolecules involved in AgNPs synthesis, such as O-H, C-H, C=O, C-O, and C-C. EDX spectroscopy was used to highlight the presence of silver, while DLS spectroscopy provided information on the mean diameter of AgNPs, that ranged from 74.4 to 314 nm. The negative Zeta potential values (−23.76 for Ep–AgNPs, −29.54 for Es–AgNPs and −20.72 for Et–AgNPs) indicate the stability of the obtained colloidal solution. Contexte et Objectifs. Le nombre des patients hémodialisés en Afrique subsaharienne en constante augmentation ; justifiant de ce fait une meilleure prise en charge de ces patients. La présente étude détermine la prévalence de l’infection par le virus de l’hépatite C en en determinant les génotypes ainsi que les facteurs y associés dans ce groupe de patients. Méthodes. 127 patients hémodialisés chroniques ont subis des tests sérologiques à la recherche des anticorps anti-VHC dans plusieurs centres de Kinshasa de février à juin 2018. Le génotype viral a été déterminé par la RT-PCR. Résultats. La fréquence des anticorps anti-VHC a varié de 0 à 52,9 % dans ce groupe. Les génotypes le plus fréquents ont été le 4 (18/22) et le 2 (2/22) ; étant sumultanément rétrouvé chez un patient, et indéterminé chez un autre sujet. This paper looks at the current situation of the institutional practice of safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in terms of the idea, put forward in anthropological literature, about the need to establish an inclusive ICH register for the entire territory of the Republic of Serbia, and a separate one for the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. In view of the principles of the Unesco Convention for the Safeguarding of the ICH and the accompanying Operational Directives for its implementation, the ethnic attribution of heritage, proposed as a solution to the problem of underrepresentation of minority heritage in the state register, is analytically shown to be possible, yet insufficient. Sažetak: U radu se, sociolingvistički i historiografski, daju primjeri koji potvrđuju da se bosanski i makedonski jezik mogu analizirati kroz teoriju jezičke pravde ali i kroz teoriju jezičkog imperijalizma. Teorija jezičke pravde, zasnovana na jezičkim pravima, važi za društveni kontekst u kojem jezik igra naročitu ulogu i u stvaranju društvenog konflikta, kao što je to bio slučaj među narodima u bivšoj Jugoslaviji. Odnosi se na koncept mogućnosti ostvarenja jezičkih prava i suprotna je pojmu jezičke dominacije. Teorija jezičkog imperijalizma veže se za borbu protiv kulturne i jezičke homogenizacije i dominacije, te afirmira jezička prava. Jezički kolonijalizam i jezička dominacija postaju sredstvo za potčinjavanje drugih. Ovo potčinjavanje može dovesti i do lingvicizma, lingvocida i jezičkog genocida. Primjeri jezičke asimilacije, kao posljedice diskriminacije na osnovu jezika, direktno su uzrokovani pojavom živog jezičkog kolonijalizma, imperijalizma i hegemonije. Iza ovakvih procesa stoji paternalistički odnos određene društvene zajednice prema jeziku i jezičkoj zajednici nad kojom se provodi imperijalizam. Tokovi prosvjetno-pedagoške prakse, kroz koju se kao u ogledalu prelama širi društveni kontekst, pokazuju da se sama organizacija obrazovanja, a samim tim i pitanje zvaničnog jezika u obrazovanju i širem društvu, postavlja kao slika ukupnih društveno-političkih odnosa. Jezički imperijalizam nerijetko je samo živi pokazatelj stvarnog političkog imperijalizma. Makedonski i bosanski jezik, historiografski gledano, pojavljuju se i u kolosijeku društvenih tokova koji dovode do jezičke pravde, ali nerijetko često bivaju podvrgnuti upravo jezičkom imperijalizmu, što su procesi koji se mogu pratiti u dijahroniji i sinhroniji ukupnih posmatranih društvenih odnosa.
