Se propone una metodología para la delimitación de las áreas urbanas articuladas por ciudades medias en España. Con la referencia temporal 2000-2020, se trabaja sobre un conjunto de treinta y cuatro ciudades medias interiores. El criterio de partida es el de accesibilidad, tomando la referencia de la isócrona de veinte minutos. Sobre el análisis de seis indicadores –tasa de variación de suelo urbanizado, de vivienda, y de población, índice de juventud, de población activa agraria y de población de servicios– se genera el Índice de Transformación Urbana (ITU), apoyado en el uso de técnicas multicriterio y de cartografía analítica. Se establecen tipologías de áreas urbanas según la dinámica de transformación observada (alta, media y baja) y, en cada área, se identifica el alcance, intensidad y gradación de los procesos de dispersión urbana.

Of the many important events that occurred in the two decades of the 21st century, the process of accelerating urbanization—especially in third-world countries—became something quite phenomenal. It's never even happened before. In the early 2000s, only about 45 percent of the population in the third world lived in urban areas, by 2020 the number had reached about 55 percent. Between now and 2035 the percentage of the population living in urban areas will reach about 85 percent in developed countries. Meanwhile, in developing countries will reach about 65 percent. By 2035, it is also projected that about 80 percent of the world's urban population will live in developing countries' cities.

Living pharmacy park in Sub village (SV) 007, Sub-sub village (SSV) 04, Kali Anyar Village, Tambora District located in West Jakarta is the location of Community Service activities. This activity was carried out gradually starting from before the Indonesian government issued a new order rule (New Normal) until the government issued new normal rules due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With the New Normal rules provide changes to the design of a living pharmacy park that has been designed before. This article aims to express the changes that occurred in the design of the living pharmacy park. The methods carried out are participatory methods and qualitative methods that are described descriptively. This article discusses the changing design sections that are adapted to the distance keeping rules. The earthquake in central Italy in 2016 led to a profound urban and natural landscape transformation. The role of territorial planning in this kind of situation is extremely important because it allows the orientation of future settlement choices through appropriate interpretative keys of the existing territorial dynamics. This work aims to analyze the effects of the planning choices made in the post-earthquake period in the seismic crater municipalities of the Umbria region. Using the InVEST models, these studies regard the comparison of the effects of in-force plans on ecosystem services such as habitat quality and carbon storage. La réduction du gaspillage alimentaire en restauration collective est un objectif fixé par les pouvoirs publics. Notre étude qualitative porte sur le rôle des normes personnelles et sociales sur les comportements de gaspillage des consommateurs dans ce contexte de consommation. Nous montrons d’une part l’existence d’une norme personnelle de non gaspillage et d’autre part la perception de normes descriptives et injonctives contradictoires pouvant s’exprimer à deux niveaux de proximité : au niveau du groupe avec lequel on mange (proximité immédiate) ou à l’échelle des usagers du restaurant (proximité élargie). Afin de modifier les comportements, des préconisations visant à renforcer la saillance de la norme personnelle et des normes sociales de non gaspillage sont proposées.

Tourism makes destinations adapt to receive those who visit them, with a great impact among traditional residents. Overtourism affects picturesque places, and these areas end up losing their authenticity, submitting themselves to the consumption needs of tourists. Neighborhoods’ traditional residents also see their routine completely changed due to the different habits of tourists, and displacement rates rise. This study aims to understand how local people perceive tourism in Alfama, one of the most unique and tourist-oriented neighborhoods of Lisbon. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones are increasingly being used for three‑dimensional (3D) mapping of the environment. This study utilised UAV technology to produce a revised 3D map of the University of Lagos as well as land cover change detection analysis. A DJI Phantom 4 UAV was used to collect digital images at a flying height of 90 m, and 75% fore and 65% side overlaps. Ground control points (GCPs) for orthophoto rectification were coordinated with a Trimble R8 Global Navigation Satellite System. Pix4D Mapper was used to produce a digital terrain model and an orthophoto at a ground sampling distance of 4.36 cm. The change detection analysis, using the 2015 base map as reference, revealed a significant change in the land cover such as an increase of 16,306.7 m2 in buildings between 2015 and 2019. Bridges as an important part of the transportation system have a role in spurring economic growth and regional development. For this reason, the government is obliged to build bridge infrastructure in a stable condition so that connectivity between regions can be realized. Given the many infrastructure development activities that have been delayed since 2019 as a result refocusing as well as the limitations of the APBD, it is necessary to select the order of priority for the bridge implementation program. Large contemporary cities demand complex solutions that integrate and territorialize different public policies based on evidence data. In São Paulo, Transit Oriented Development (TOD) has been used as an integrated urban and transport planning tool to promote a more sustainable and inclusive development of the city since the last City Master Plan (2014), approved after much resistance from the sector real estate. After almost a decade of implementation, spatial research reveals a desirable urban density, with a significant increase in the number of real estate projects built and a reduction in the size of housing units in these areas. However, low-income households have not been sufficiently included in the growth of TOD areas due to rising property prices. We argue that in cities with high social inequality, such as São Paulo, TOD guidelines should be adjusted based on specific socio-spatial and legal contexts to promote more inclusive and sustainable development.

O Transporte Não Motorizado (TNM), em que a bicicleta é o maior destaque, é usado em cidades de países ricos como meio transporte, com isso, houve melhorias no sistema de transporte desses espaços urbanos. No entanto, essa não é a realidade das cidades brasileiras, onde os ciclistas encontram dificuldades diversas para usarem a bicicleta como meio de transporte seguro. O incentivo a esse tipo de transporte perpassa por ações estruturantes da cidade para oferecer vias seguras para os usuários desse tipo de transporte, haja vista que a bicicleta é mais vulnerável a acidentes, além da fragilidade que coloca a vida do ciclista em risco. This paper examines socio-spatial inequalities with reference to the post-Olympics East Village-the former Athletes' Village-located in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham. The East Village neighbourhood has been praised within urban policy circles because of its mixed-tenure housing, including a relatively high percentage of 'affordable housing'. It is also claimed to be a space of social mixing, including in relation to the rest of East London. This paper examines these claims with reference to research undertaken at the East Village with residents and officials. Survey data reveals how East Village is a majority white neighbourhood with a large professional-managerial 'salariat', and as such is quite distinct in both class and ethnic terms from the rest of Stratford and Newham. These social differences are reflected in the interview data which examine how 'othering' processes occur on the part of middle-class East Village residents, both externally in relation to the rest of Stratford, but also internally within East Village itself. These residents display a 'mixophobic' (Bauman, 2013) reaction towards Stratford via territorial stigmatisation, and towards East Village social renters via housing tenure stigmatisation. The aims of social mixing and affordable housing are far from being realised within the East Village regeneration scheme.

Sustainable development and Circular Economy (CE) have drawn massive attention worldwide. Construction practices consume large amounts of materials, resources and energy. Sustainability and CE could play a big role in reduction efforts. However, the potential influence of both concepts on the planning and construction of large infrastructures remains unexplored. This paper investigates how professionals involved in a high-speed railway station project in the Chinese city of Jingmen envision the use of sustainability and CE for the planning and construction of the railway station and its surrounding areas. We reviewed policy documents and interviewed local professionals with the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) framework. The analysis reveals opportunities for improvement towards sustainability and the interdependence between the dimensions in the TBL framework for the railway station and its surroundings.
