Propomos analisar que os heróis homéricos, embora não tenham existido de fato, podem ter símiles encontrados na sociedade para a qual Homero cantou suas epopeias. Isso acontece porque as obras homéricas refletiam essa sociedade, como bem observou o historiador Emilio Gabba, ao afirmar que é mais profícuo se estudar as estruturas social, econômica, cultural e política dos poemas desse aedo do que tentar provar a existência factual de eventos descritos por eles.

Near the river Avon, at the region that lies the "spa" town of Aquae Sulis, the shrine of Sulis Minerva is perhaps one of the most evocative images of Roman presence in Britannia. In this paper, will be treated the physical space of the sanctuary, to ascertain the location in which religious practices and cultural interactions occurred. For this, we must understand the key concept of this research: the "interpretatio" between the Roman deity (Minerva) and native (Sulis).
