The notion of residential settlement associated with the acquisition of new citizenship has been recently challenged by a number of studies highlighting its instrumentality as a subsequent mobility factor. The long and diverse history of Switzerland as a country of immigration and the availability of rich data on naturalization and international migration that allow individuals to be followed over time make this country a valuable case for investigating the impact of naturalization on international (return or onward) migration. Using longitudinal data, we follow 88,900 immigrants who entered the country between 1998 and 2000 over a period of 84 months between January 2011 and December 2017, documenting changes in naturalization status and in migratory movements and their direction. Una visita al Museo dei Trasporti a Lucerna è parte integrante del mini-corso Mitenand, due giornate e mezza di insegnamento intensivo per preparare le classi delle scuole medie del Canton Ticino all’insegnamento curricolare del tedesco che attualmente inizia nel secondo anno. Il museo fornisce il contesto ideale in cui intraprendere i primi passi alla scoperta della realtà germanofona in modo disteso e piacevole. Il potenziale motivazionale è incrementato dall’esperienza di autoefficacia che consegue dalla presa di coscienza di disporre già di competenze ricettive: allieve e allievi le scoprono nella veste di “detective delle lingue”, mettendo in evidenza e applicando strategie di comprensione linguistiche ed extra-linguistiche.  

Bruno Latour (1947-2022) was a prominent philosopher who critically interpreted the Anthropocene discourse. In this article, I highlight the impact of his legacy, particularly in political and philosophical Anthropocene debates. I attempt to position Latour’s critical philosophical thinking legacy within the framework of Anthropocene debates. Bruno Latour has a strong position in explaining current Anthropocene issues, especially related to actor and network reposition, political Gaia, and criticism of the new climate change regime. However, despite the Anthropocene debate, I position Latour’s notion as an entry point to open up explanations concerning the ontology of Anthropocene that can begin by understanding Latour’s breakthroughs in the context of surpassing the metaphysical demarcation of subject/object by radicalizing pluralistic ontology. La poetica di Fogazzaro, a partire dal Croce e lungo tutto il Novecento, è stata oggetto di una disputa critica orientata di volta in volta a risistemare l'opera del vicentino in uno degli –ismi caratterizzanti il periodo postunitario. Pur dando spazio alle interpretazioni fornite dalla critica estetica o sociologica, di area marxista o cattolica, si è preferito guardare alla ricezione di Fogazzaro presso i lettori e i critici coevi. l Friuli, per la sua posizione a ridosso delle Alpi, fu per tutto il Medioevo un’area di frontiera, una delle periferie ‘spurie’ del mondo italofono. Nelle vie, nelle piazze e sotto le logge cittadine della regione, mercanti friulani, toscani, veneti e tedeschi facevano quotidianamente affari in una babele di lingue, usi e pratiche commerciali e contabili differenti. Il volume, frutto di un’approfondita ricerca negli archivi friulani, analizza la documentazione e i metodi gestionali utilizzati dagli operatori attivi nell’area, aprendo nuove prospettive sull’economia regionale tra XIV e XV secolo. Il quadro che emerge, fortemente diverso da quello sinora delineato dalla storiografia, evidenzia la grande flessibilità di forme e linguaggi commerciali, che consentì di superare i divari linguistico-culturali di questo territorio.

Introduzione Gli spettacolari e repellenti apparati scenici dell’ultimo canto dell’Inferno, la teologia e ideologia politica che si riflettono nelle pene orrende, hanno da sempre interessato i lettori di Dante. Questo canto non di rado ha suscitato indignazione nei commentatori; basti pensare, ad esempio, a T. S. Eliot, grande ammiratore della cultura classica, che giudicava inaccettabile la presenza di elementi così dissonanti nell’opera dantesca. Eliot riteneva che il canto XXXIV fosse “il più difficile a una prima lettura” e suggeriva al lettore repulso dalle descrizioni “di saltare l’ultimo canto e tornare all’inizio del canto terzo” o “di aspettare finché non abbia letto e convissuto per anni con l’ultimo canto del Paradiso”, in cui le imperfezioni del canto XXXIV vengono corretti”. 1

It has been over twenty years since Donna Gabaccia's seminal work "Italy's Many Diasporas" was published (London & New York, 2000). Much has changed since then, but this book remains a classic. The idiosyncrasies of the text, which have contributed to its ambiguous status within the canon of Dante's oeuvre, are understood to be the expression of Dante the exile's pressured situation during a period of transition between residences in Verona and Ravenna, while the Paradiso was still "in progress."

Il progetto “Cimiteri” unisce arte e letteratura. In ogni città in cui viene presentato il progetto viene scelta una figura letteraria che si lega alla tradizione del luogo. Nel caso di Bologna fu scelto Pier Paolo Pasolini, poeta universale, perseguitato per la sua ideologia e il suo temperamento determinato. Un grande artista capace di creare discorsi creativi nella poesia, nella narrativa, nel giornalismo e nel cinema. I temi della vita e della morte, così come quelli della natura e dell'amore, sono ricorrenti nella poesia di Pasolini. Mostrano lo stretto rapporto che esiste tra il percorso di vita del poeta e la sua creazione poetica. Il tema della morte diventa protagonista in numerose occasioni. Il panorama di morte che lo circonda si riflette nelle sue composizioni letterarie e nel suo cinema. Morte e dolore che il poeta cerca di superare attraverso la denuncia e la difesa degli emarginati.

“Cemeteries” project combines art and literature. In each city where the project is presented, a literary figure who is linked to the tradition of the place is chosen. In the case of Bologna, Pier Paolo Pasolini was chosen, a universal poet, persecuted for his ideology and his determined temperament. A great artist capable of creating creative discourses in poetry, fiction, journalism and cinema. The themes of life and death, as well as those of nature and love, are recurrent in Pasolini's poetry. They show the close relationship that exists between the poet's life path and his poetic creation. The theme of death becomes the protagonist on numerous occasions. The panorama of death that surrounds him is reflected in his literary compositions and in his cinema. Death and pain that the poet tries to overcome through the denunciation and defense of the marginalized.

  Entre 1966 y 1968 el cineasta italiano Valentino Orsini y el filósofo italiano-venezolano Alberto Filippi realizaron el film I dannati della terra (Los condenados de la tierra), inspirada en el libro homónimo del revolucionario afrocaribeño Frantz Fanon.
  Rodada entre Italia y África, esta película de ficción-testimonial -con numerosos materiales de archivo- es un ensayo cinematográfico sobre la necesidad ética y política de resistir la violencia del poder, entre la experiencia de Patrice Lumumba en el Congo y la de los combatientes de Guinea Bissau bajo la dirección de Amílcar Cabral.
  Medio siglo después, Mestman y Filippi han recuperado este film, mucho tiempo olvidado, y han reconstruido y documentado el contexto cultural y político en el cual fue concebido, así como las polémicas que suscitó en tanto ejemplo emblemático del cine tercermundista italiano del período.
  Junto al estudio sobre la historia del film y los debates sobre el compromiso intelectual, la revolución Tricontinental y los lenguajes del cine político, en sus 500 páginas el libro recoge documentación gráfica y visual, así como los diferentes escritos en ocasión de su difusión.

ABSTRACT
Cristoforo Colombo in Italian or Christopher Columbus in English/Latin are the names given to the man credited with discovering the Americas, to whom has been attributed an alleged Genoese birth. There is no uncontested evidence to support that the navigator was Genoese and the surname he used in Castile was Colón, and never Colombo/Columbus.
Various misinterpretations in contemporary reports and chronicles, coupled with a misinformation campaign by the navigator himself, his descendants, and the courts of Portugal and Castile, largely helped to manufacture the fog of intentional uncertainty around the identity of the navigator that has lasted until the present day. As a consequence of these uncertainties, there was, in the last century, a general acceptance of the plebeian “Genoese weaver Cristoforo Colombo” as being the noble “Don Cristóbal Colón, admiral, governor and viceroy of the New World.”
The navigator assumed a new identity when he entered Castile, circa 1484, and did his best to keep secret his place of birth, his real name, and his parents’ identity. We can assert today that the courts of Portugal and Castile helped him in maintaining this secrecy. His son, Don Hernando Colón, when writing his father's story not only maintained the secret but increased the confusion further by feigning ignorance. Although much of the blame for the confusion falls directly upon the navigator and his son, there was also a universal shortcoming that marred the various historical investigations and biographies.
This shortcoming was the general minimization of the navigator’s Portuguese life, a matter of the uttermost importance because it was in Portugal that Colón got married, learned to navigate, and lived most of his life. The existence of forged documents utilized in support of the Genoese Columbus theory, juxtaposed to the numerous letters and notes coming from the navigator's own pen, documents from the court of Castile and the archives of Portugal, together with the social norms of his time prove that the wool weaver from Genoa and the navigator who sailed in 1492 under the flag of Castile were two distinct persons; with two different career paths, two highly disparate pedigrees, and with roots in different kingdoms.

L’article présente une première contribution à l’analyse de l’utilisation du cinéma dans l’éducation nationale de masse des enfants pendant la période fasciste. Après avoir esquissé les formes de la consommation cinématographique de ce public, l’auteur reconstruit les modalités de la participation du cinéma à l’éducation de l’italiano nuovo, en se référant au rôle de certaines institutions et aux pratiques en usage au sein des organisations scolaires et de jeunesse du régime. Enfin, à partir d’une analyse des traces de la réception retrouvées dans les écrits et les mémoires des enfants, l’article présente une typologie des documentaires et des films de fiction montrés aux mineurs, en examinant les résonances entre les constellations de valeurs qu’ils véhiculent et les principes éducatifs grace auxquels le fascisme souhaitait forger les nouvelles générations.

This paper addresses matters of anticolonialist, anti-fascist and feminist geopoetics, analysing a case that is virtually unknown to Anglophone geographical readerships, namely the transnational trajectories and literary works of Italian activist, writer and translator Joyce Lussu (1912-1998). Drawing upon recent literature on geopoetics and literary geographies that commit to produce and analyse 'hybrid texts', I extend and put in communication for the first time scholarship on antifascist transnational geographies and literature on decolonial and feminist geopoetics, by discussing Lussu's exceptional biographical and literary experience, one that first shows the importance of coherence between life and texts. Lussu practiced plural, multilingual and transnational ways to construct (feminist and radical) non-elitist knowledge by taking part in anti-fascist exile and resistance in the 1930s and 1940s. Later, she supported 'Third World' anticolonial and revolutionary movements by translating and internationally circulating poems from politically committed authors, especially from Western Asia and Lusophone Africa. Finally, I contend that Lussu's nonconformist feminism, that she understood as an inclusive antiauthoritarian notion for the construction of a renewed society by deconstructing masculine institutions such as the State, the Church and the Army, can speak powerfully to current debates on scholarly and political dissidences.

Il saggio affronta il problema degli antecedenti letterari classici di Torquato tasso nella "Gerusalemme Liberata", accentuando l'assoluta preminenza di Virgilio in diversi ambiti e modalità. Vi è anche un confronto con l'Ariosto dell'"Orlando Furioso" sempre concernente la presenza nell'opera dei poeti latini classici.

In his study Fratture d’Italia John Foot argues that contemporary Italian history has been marked by a tendency towards divided memory.

Events have been interpreted in contrasting ways, and the facts themselves often contested. Moreover, with so little agreement over what happened, and why it happened, it has been extremely difficult to create any consensus around memory. This work delves into Italy’s past, looking at stories of divided memory over various periods in the twentieth century, and points the way toward a fresh understanding of Italian history.

Riassunto I traumi causati dai conflitti bellici ai quali l’autore prese parte in prima persona vengono trattati soprattutto nel canto XXVIII dell’Inferno, nel dialogo tra Dante e Bertran de Born, ›poeta delle armi‹ provenzale. Karl Vossler e Erich Auerbach sono due grandi esegeti danteschi nella Germania della prima metà del Novecento, entrambi sopravvissuti alla Prima guerra mondiale. Nella sua interpretazione della Commedia, Vossler approfondisce la questione dell’influenza stilistica che Born poté avere su Dante ben più di Auerbach, che nel suo libro su Dante include soltanto un breve cenno al troubadour. Nel dipinto »Dante e Virgilio in trincea« del 1915, infine, il pittore tedesco-ucraino-francese Franz Roubaud illustra il canto XXVIII dell’Inferno rivisitando i personaggi di Dante e Virgilio come dei testimoni della Prima guerra mondiale.
