The current baseline architectures in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) strongly recommends the use of edge computing in the design of the solution applications instead of the traditional approach which solely uses the cloud/core for analysis and data storage. This research, therefore, focuses on formulating an edge-centric IoT architecture for smartphones which are very popular electronic devices that are capable of executing complex computational tasks at the network edge. This study aims to investigate the access to a mobile phone, usage pattern, and its impact on mountainous rural women of two districts, i.e., Hunza and Nagar districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. To attain the objective of the research, the researchers have employed various statistic methods, and data were collected through a questionnaire from 190 respondents in the study area (200 respondents were selected). Initially, Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin (KMO) and Bartlett’s tests were used for sampling adequacy, and factor analysis technique was used to explain correlations among multiple outcomes. The results revealed that 80% of women in the Hunza and Nagar districts own mobile phones (access) and 63% have good skills of mobile phone usage for a variety of purposes. Moreover, 56.4% of women use mobile phones in their daily life activities; however, 23.6% disagreed with the statements. Based on the consumer price index (CPI) issued by the Department of Statistics, prices of goods and services have generally increased by 29 percent in general over a period of 10 years, between 2005 and 2015. BR1M or 1Malaysia People’s Aid program is devised by the Malaysian Government as the effort to ease the burden of lower income group in Malaysia. The program is devised to help the lower income group cushion the high cost of living in Malaysia. Hence this research study the implementation of BR1M by conducting an exploratory case study in a rural district in Kedah to gain input on the level of satisfaction and the self-sufficiency of the of BR1M recipient. Findings show that BR1M needs continuous improvement and revisiting the plan.

In the current digital age, information literacy has inevitably been influenced extensively by developments in technology with the emergence of digital information literacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat aplikasi try out uji kompetensi tenaga perawat berbasis Android menggunakan Ionic Framework, Sehingga aplikasi ini dapat memudahkan para calon tenaga perawat untuk berlatih ujian dan melihat seberapa kemampuan menjawab soal uji kompetensi.
